I’m a graduate student at Northeastern University studying Experience Design. I previously completed my undergrad at Purdue University with a B.S. in UX Design and a minor in Psychology. Growing up, I’ve always loved the visual aspect of technology, whether it be the exterior or the operating system. I was initially intrigued by UX as it combines my love of technology and art with psychology.

📸 Through my love of photography, 2D design, and videography, I have garnered skills in Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, Procreate, and Final Cut Pro.

👨🏻‍💻 I also have some programming experience with Python, Java, CSS, and HTML. With this knowledge of coding, I’ve taught classes teaching kids basic programming skills and completed numerous Arduino projects.

🤟🏼 I am proficient in Sign Language and Hindi, know conversational speech in Spanish, and am currently learning French.

🥽 Currently I am advancing my knowledge in XR, understanding the theory, impact, practices, and ethics of the technology. Using these, I have created projects with tools like Hoverlay and Unity.

I am very passionate about entrepreneurship and was a brother in DMK, Purdue’s premier entrepreneurship fraternity. Outside of extracurricular activities and class, you can probably find me curating the perfect playlist🎶, taking care of my plants🪴, or staring at the clouds☁️.

For professional purposes I can be contacted at ishaandandia@gmail.com.

Design Philosophies

  • Happiness Over Everything

I believe in prioritizing happiness, whether it's for myself, my team, or our users. To me, the ultimate measure of success at the conclusion of a project is the satisfaction of the users with the products delivered.

  • Emphasize Empathy

Empathy drives every action I take. While it may sound cliché, I firmly believe in stepping into the user's shoes to grasp their intrinsic needs, thereby enabling me to provide the most effective solution possible.

  • Go with the Flow

Throughout my design journey, I've discovered that the most successful approach involves adaptability and keen attention to the distinct requirements of each project. This flexibility empowers me to pivot, innovate, and avoid becoming entrenched in outdated concepts.
